Its beautiful and rock solid flip-top mechanism is unparalleled, and the elegant elliptical leg-design with concealed castors makes Tempest easy for just one person to “wheel-barrow” around swiftly and effortlessly.

Makings of a movement

Since 1928, HOWE has developed beautiful, functional furniture design.

It began with new and innovative solutions to the Waldo Astoria in New York but really took off during World War II with the now legendary, space-saving Victory table made for
the U.S. Navy submarines.

This continued with the Tempest flip-top table system that took flexible ideas to new lengths in the 1970’s.
To this day both the Victory and the Tempest tables remain benchmarks for quality and multi- functionality and move designers  to keep pushing the envelope.
